Princess Catherine is often seen wearing her engagement ring and wedding band, but she also owns a stunning citrine ring. Although not as famous as her sapphire engagement ring, the citrine ring has attracted attention for its simple beauty and unique appearance compared to her other jewelry.

The first sighting of the citrine ring was at Catherine and Prince William's wedding reception in April 2011 after their lavish wedding at Westminster Abbey. The couple celebrated with family and friends hosted by Prince Charles. Catherine changed out of her famous Alexander McQueen wedding dress for a more casual evening gown, which she paired with the citrine ring. Many have speculated that the yellow ring may have been a gift from Prince William. However, the citrine is over a decade old and holds special significance to Catherine.

She was photographed wearing it in January 2008 while celebrating her 26th birthday in London, sharing a taxi with her sister Pippa after leaving a nightclub. Although the citrine ring was not a gift from her husband, Catherine has received several pieces of jewellery from him. In April 2018, after the birth of Prince Louis, she made her first public appearance outside St Mary's Hospital in London, wearing a red dress and a citrine ring on her middle finger. Then, in July 2018.

Catherine attended the women's singles final at Wimbledon, wearing a bright yellow Dolce & Gabbana outfit and a large citrine ring, attracting media attention. She was again seen wearing it in both the men's and women's finals at Wimbledon 2019, making it a key piece in her Wimbledon outfit. Most recently, she wore a citrine ring to the premiere of the James Bond film “No Time to Die,” complementing her stunning sequined gown. Her most iconic piece remains her engagement ring.

Once owned by Princess Diana, it features a 12-carat sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds set in 18-karat white gold. Citrine is known for its vibrant yellow color, symbolizing joy, prosperity, and positive energy. Some jewelers even believe that it attracts wealth and abundance. Citrine is also the birthstone for those born in November, leading to speculation about its personal significance for Catherine, especially since her son Prince Louis was born in April, and her other children have no connection to the gemstone.

Given the ring’s recent resurgence, some media outlets have suggested that it may have sentimental value or mark a new chapter in Catherine’s life. While it doesn’t have the historical weight of her more famous pieces, like her sapphire engagement ring, the citrine ring represents modern elegance and personal significance.
