Kate Middleton often uses her bold fashion and accessory choices to convey important messages or signal new beginnings. The Princess of Wales has faced a difficult time after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. To mark the end of her treatment, she opted for a dramatic makeover.
Kate has worn it consistently since Prince William proposed with her late mother Princess Diana's famous sapphire ring. However, as she celebrates the end of her cancer journey, she has debuted a new eternity ring, symbolising a new chapter in her life.
Jewellery expert Ella Citen Tomkins shared her insights with Express UK, suggesting that choosing an eternity ring could signal important milestones in her relationship with Prince William, such as an anniversary or the birth of their children a gesture that shows unwavering love and devotion.
Ella pointed out that the current eternity ring is very similar to the promise ring that Prince William gave Kate during their student days, a Victorian rose gold band set with pearls and garnets, reflecting each of their birthstones.
She explained that the ring could have been gold set with small gemstones, possibly garnets or sapphires. Additionally, Ella noted that this wouldn’t be the first time Kate has swapped her Diana ring for another, noting that it could easily be cleaned or resized, especially after the nine months of intensive cancer treatment she underwent.
