Duchess Catherine delighted royal fans with her recent appearance, which she described as “the greatest honor” on her social media page. Over the summer break, Duchess Catherine was seen publicly with her family, attending a party in Norfolk with Prince William and their children Princess Charlotte, 11, Prince George, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Georgina Baron, who organised the party, said it was a huge privilege to host the royal family and recounted the memorable experience. She said she was summoned to the production team’s office, where she learned that a very special family had asked to be part of the event.
Georgina noted that Duchess Catherine was enthusiastic about participating and happily got stuck in the mud with her children, while Prince Louis expressed his excitement, urging, “Come or not, let’s do it.” Additionally, Georgina shared that Catherine and William, along with their children, wanted to have fun like any normal family.
The historic home, formerly owned by the Queen Mother, was reportedly purchased for between $1 and $100 in 1952, shortly after King George's death. The Queen Mother fell in love with the estate and spent time there during the summer, traditionally visiting for three weeks in August and ten days in October.
This custom was maintained by King Charles, who retained the home as a summer retreat, ensuring the royal legacy remained intact. While the Queen Mother cherished the palace as her favorite retreat, her sister Princess Margaret famously criticized it, calling it "Mimi's draft castle" and a horrible place.
