Prince and Duchess Catherine have expressed their joy at the precious addition to their circle. Maddison May Brudenell, cousin of both William and Harry, recently introduced her newborn son in this special interview. "Our family finally feels complete," she shared with obvious emotion, who is the granddaughter of Lord Mountbatten. The baby, named Michael Adam in honor of his grandfather, was born at home on August 6, weighing just 3 pounds 1 ounce.
The young couple recalled that they had to rush to the hospital after the umbilical cord broke after a 40-hour labor. Although the circumstances of the boy's birth were difficult, it ultimately brought great joy to the family. Maddison recalled the moment emotionally: "I took him out of the water and held him to my chest, and then I heard a bang, which was very worrying." She describes Michael turning pale, prompting the midwives to intervene, and then paramedics.
Fortunately, the alarming situation ended positively, and both mother and baby are now thriving. A former model and Ralph Lauren spokesperson, Maddison is also preparing for another major milestone in her life: her upcoming marriage to fiancé Bret Kapetanov, the father of her child. They look forward to a bright future filled with happiness and cherished memories together.
At just 30, Maddison is already a mother to three other children: Daphne, seven; Phebe, five; and Moses, three. She met Bret, a Canadian mechanic, on a visit to her hometown of Windsor, Ontario, while going through a divorce. In the interview she recalled their first meeting: “Sparks flew, and there was this magnetic attraction between us. We were irresistibly drawn to each other and we kissed. It was true love.”
Bret’s roots in the farming community of Windsor are in stark contrast to Maddison’s glamorous background, where she mingled at high-profile parties and fashion events, including appearing with the royal family at Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colours. Despite their different backgrounds, the couple have united over their shared interests in sustainability and Christian faith, illustrating that love can blossom in the most unexpected of circumstances.
